How Aframax Mining Group collects, uses, shares and protects personal data, and the rights available to you.

Aframax FZCO and its group companies (together, "Aframax", "we", "us" or "our") respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data we hold. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we handle it, and the choices and rights available to you.

It applies to this website and to personal data we process in the course of our business, including enquiries from investors, partners, suppliers, government representatives, media and prospective colleagues. It does not form part of any contract of employment or service.

Who is responsible for your data

Aframax FZCO, Fortune Tower, Cluster C, Office 2702, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the controller responsible for the personal data processed through this website. For any privacy question, contact us at privacy@aframaxgroup.com or info@aframaxgroup.com.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you complete our contact form or email us, we collect your name, company, email address, telephone number, country, enquiry type and the content of your message.
  • Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages and access times, for security and to keep the site running reliably.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We use only the cookies necessary for the site to function, and, where enabled and consented to, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. See "Cookies" below.

We do not knowingly collect special-category (sensitive) personal data through this website, and we ask that you do not submit it through the contact form.

How we use your information

We use personal data to respond to and manage your enquiry; to provide information you have requested; to operate, secure and improve the website; to comply with legal, regulatory and anti-corruption obligations; and, where relevant and permitted, to keep you informed about matters you have asked us about. We do not sell your personal data.

Legal basis for processing

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business and responding to enquiries; the performance of, or steps toward, a contract with you; and compliance with legal obligations to which we are subject.

How we share information

We may share personal data with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, website hosting, email and IT security) under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms; with professional advisers, auditors, regulators and authorities where required or permitted by law; and with other Aframax group entities for the purposes described above. We require anyone processing data on our behalf to protect it to standards consistent with this policy.

International transfers

We operate across the United Arab Emirates, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zambia, and use service providers that may process data in other countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected by appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to meet legal, accounting, regulatory or reporting requirements, and then delete or anonymise it. Enquiry correspondence is retained for a reasonable period to manage our relationship and respond to any follow-up.

How we protect your data

We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to review our controls.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; to ask us to correct or delete it; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to request portability of data you have provided. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@aframaxgroup.com. You may also have the right to complain to a relevant data-protection authority.

Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies allow the site to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. Where we use optional analytics or preference cookies, we will seek your consent and you can manage or withdraw it at any time through your browser settings or any cookie controls provided on the site.
